No timeframe on the link change yet, but Iāve linked the turbo link. Weāll update this thread as soon as there is one. The turbo-gateway link works today, and the gateway problem doesnāt touch your token or your auction page.
On the wallet, Manifold takes no fee on the sale, so the only thing you need ETH for is network gas. Listing the piece costs about 0.0006 ETH and closing the auction at the end about 0.0003 ETH, about $2 for the pair. Either you or the winning bidder can send that closing one, and bidding and paying are entirely on the collectorās side.
Because gas prices can change, around $5 should be fine.

The artist or winner can finalize an auction, it kicks off the handshake transaction that sends the funds to the artist and the artwork to the winner.
Does that mean the artist has the right to refuse in case the price is below his expectations?
No, finalizing isnāt a decision about whether the sale happens. Itās the transaction that carries out what the auction has already settled: the artwork goes to the highest bidder and the funds come to you. If you donāt send it, the winner can.
As mentioned above, the price field on an auction is the starting bid, so no bid can come in under it. Wherever you set it is the floor for the sale.
Cool!! It makes sence except for that animation button on the page which allows download of the GLB for anyone anytime, i would have thought the glb would b somehow encrypted and only owner would have the decrypted version.
NFT media is public by design, on Manifold and everywhere else. The tokenās metadata points at a public link, and everything that shows the piece fetches the file from there: our page, a wallet, OpenSea.

Ok i understand buyer is buying certificate of authenticity . But why does the download button have to b so obvious?

Once a token is minted, itās media is public facing regardless. Anyone can read a tokenās metadata and open the file it points to. This is true of any NFT.

Btw Iām still waiting for opensea to fix the supply to zero inside studio for the older version of Tribute to Julio le Parc which was initially minted 3times and successfully sent to dead burn wallet 3 times bec of technical display/indexing issues.

To clarify the above: Manifold doesnāt have a token gating option. You can mint the tokens on Manifold but to token gate content, youād need to build that experience yourself or use a service that allows for the creation of a token gated experience.
Note that with the token gated experience, the artwork on the token itself stays public, same as on this piece. What the gate locks is separate content you keep aside for holders.
Yes exactly the nft would b the 2D animated sculpture while the separate gated content is the 3D sculpture .what is a good platform(compatible manifold) to token gate ? I might need it in the future.

The working link you gave me is not the one stored in the tokenURI/baseURI on-chain. Marketplaces will use the on-chain URI. I would really appreciate if you either:
ā¢ Update the tokenURI to a reliable gateway, or
ā¢ Fix the original gateway path so the on-chain URI resolves correctly?ā

As mentioned above - Whatās on chain for your token is correct. The link stored on it points at your metadata, and that metadata, your image and your 3D file are all saved permanently on Arweave.
Both links end in the same code, which is your metadataās ID on Arweave. arweave.net and turbo-gateway.com are two separate services that look a file up by that ID and open it in a browser. Turbo-gateway finds your metadata. arweave.net shows āfile not foundā for it, though it opens your image and 3D file without a problem.
The Arweave link in Studio also opens that arweave.net address, so it lands on the same error. Iāve let the team know about the broken link but you can see the turbo-gateway link serves the media fine.

Iād strongly prefer to keep the original on-chain tokenURI and wait for the arweave.net gateway issue to be fixed, rather than changing it.
Itās been a while since the problem started. Could you pls give me an update on the status or an estimated timeline for when the original link will start resolving correctly? This is blocking me from properly auctioning the piece.
