A month ago I followed the steps and burnt a token in a ERC 721 contract. Confirmed in Etherscan. The token is still showing publicly (on Opensea). There seems to be no option to remove it. I refreshed the metadata on Mainnet
This might be helpful in understanding the mechanics of a burn. Burnt tokens may still appear on the different platforms. You can request the platforms to hide the token if it’s still visible.
