Can I add "Series" tokens to a contract after manually creating the first few tokens?

Hey all! Quick product question, before I just try it and (possibly) mess up forever.

I have a new art contract. I’ve added 5 ERC-721 tokens to it manually so far. They are tokens number 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. So far, so good. But manually repeating traits and description, etc. is tedious.

I just found the Series option in Manifold Studio. If I add the rest of my 45 tokens using Series, to this contract, will they just show up after the five I already made? i.e. With Sequential numbers: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12…?

What if I don’t make the full batch Series right now? If I just do a Series of, say, ten tokens for starters? Would they just show up in order, and then I could do another Series later on to finish out the set of 50 tokens?

gm! So a series is just a group of tokens we group together to make the minting process cheaper. It won’t group things together into a new group. If you’re not sure you can do a quick test in your testnet workspace to try it out.

Thanks! I actually went ahead and tried a small batch of three. It worked well, except that now (on Foundation’s site) they’re showing up in the wrong order when I sort by time. 6, 8, 7 instead of 6, 7, 8.

Alas, since the order is absolutely vital to my vision for this particular project, I’ll be minting one by one.

Thanks for the clarification!
