A summary of the issue
I’ve been minting ~170-220mb h.264 video files every day as NFTs on Base but the past 2 days have been riddled with errors. Yesterday it took manifold over 12 hours to recognize my 23rd token as eligible for listing on Gallery after minting it.
Today I tried minting my 24th Token but received this error. I tried disabling extensions, clearing caches, and trying a different browser. At a loss of how to move forward. -
What are you trying to do?
Mint a new token to my Base Contract. I upload a daily timelapse so this is incredibly time sensitive for me. If I get backlogged multiple days it will take away from my “daily” mint goal. -

What browser are you using?
Brave & Chrome -
What wallet are you using?
metamask
Thanks for the heads up - We’re investigating. Is this happening for any video you upload? Or just that one file?
can you please try again
I usually shoot my timelapses after sunset so haven’t had a chance to try a new project, but I have tried compressing it more/differently to no avail last night. For 23 tokens it uploaded fine with no change in compression during post production.
Just tried again now with the same compression as the first 23 tokens, same result as last night.
Not sure if its manifold or arweave I’m just a creative with little dev experience.
Is it possible I’ve reached limit for cumulative upload data for a contract/account? Is that something that exists on arweave/manifold
I should be around 4-4.5gb of total uploads right now
Hi. Still haven’t been able to resolve this. I am on day 4 of backlogged daily mints
Hi, we’ve found the file and are able to reproduce the issue. It seems like there’s an issue reading exif data for this one particular file. It’s not a file size issue, but an exif tag issue. Did you do something differently when creating the exif data?
We figured out what the issue is, but don’t have a resolution on our end at the moment.
The reason it is timing out is because, on upload, we read the exif data of each file to set some attribute information.
The exif data of this video is extremely large (19MB of data), because it seems to contain exif reference to each image used in your timelapse in the Ingredients metadata tag and Pantry metadata tag.

Is this exif data critical to include, or are you able to strip it?
To reiterate, it’s not a file size issue, but an exif metadata issue.
Okay. So After posting that last night I ran the 8k file I export from Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder for Youtube though Apple Compressor and compressed it into a 4k one and used uploaded that to Manifold rather than a directly exported a 4k file from Adobe. I would guess that running the 8k file through media encoder would also fix the issue.
Since I compressed the 8k file I suppose compressor removed or shrunk the exif metadata and I was able to upload.
What is weird is that my workflow hadn’t changed for that export, and the timelapse I shot right after that uploaded without any headache and with no change in what I needed to do.
Oddly enough, this was the first mint of any kind for me to include religious content so in the end feels right that I had to work to make sure it posted.
Hopefully this helps others who experience this issue.
Running it through the encoder again probably stripped the excess exif data. Thanks for the update.
