In order for our team to investigate a bug/errors, please provide the following:

  • A summary of the issue

Minting error in manifold studio.

  • What are you trying to do?

I am trying to mint a new 1/1 work in Manifold Studio, and at the wallet step (where it asks you which wallet to mint it to), it’s giving me an error in red at the bottom.

  • What is the actual outcome? Are you seeing any error messages?

Here is what the error looks like:

Error saving instance: Error calling mintBase: {“reason”:“missing revert data in call exception; Transaction reverted without a reason string”,“code”:“CALL_EXCEPTION”,“data”:“0x”,“transaction”:{“from”:“0x23Cc8fFf19FBA284430705B3FA02501d1E48aad5”,“to”:“0xEBcAD3A059320169230e26f6bcC2E7caf0C2d979”,“data”:“0x7884af4400000000000000000000000023cc8fff19fba284430705b3fa02501d1e48aad500000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000400000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000”,“accessList”:null},“error”:{}}

  • What wallet are you using?

Metamask

Is this error still happening for you?

yes it is still happening, just checked again

Can you share a screenshot?

Also, what network is your wallet on?

My wallet is on the ethereum network, But i have another account in metamask currently connected to warpcaster on base.

Can you try switching your metamask to your wallet on Ethereum and see if it resolves the issue?

I just checked, it does not resolve the issue to have my wallet (and different account) disconnected from other sites that use the base network.

Hi, I’m actually asking to make sure your logged in wallet is connected to Ethereum. Can you confirm this and show a screenshot here?

This is odd, because when I simulate the transaction that shows a failure, it actually succeeds, so I just want to make sure you’re actually connected to mainnet.

We just deployed some additional logging to show the connected network if it errors, so if you could clear your browser cache, try again, and show us the new console logs, it would help a lot.

Also, can you tell us what wallet providers you have installed, in case it’s a wallet support issue?

ere is the screenshot from my wallet indicating that I am indeed connected to the ETH network.

Can you please try again and show the latest console error logs?

Yes I will do this today, just need to find a few minutes in between work stuff. Thank you for your patience.

Here is the console after me clearing all cache.

That is so odd. What plugins do you have installed other than metamask? It seems like ‘something’ is intercepting the mint simulation call, which is what we use to make sure the mint works as expected.

I have other wallet browser extensions which are currently logged out: phantom, leather, temple, and coinbase, but none of them pop up.

Even though they don’t pop up, they may be intercepting the request. Would you be able to try and ‘disable’ those extensions and all other extensions to see if it addresses the issue? If it does, we can try to figure out the exact combination that might be causing this problem.

sure i’ll give it a try
