Is the 6.9% referral feature still supported?

Hello,

Is the 6.9% referral feature still supported? (I’m not seeing the share link on gallery pages.)

E.g. appending ?referrer=0x33D0E43B3A9C9514d8EC721dd0022D796AD2A6C2 to a URL would redirect 6.9% of the sale to the referrer address.

The referral feature no longer supported listing with Studio so the artist will earn 100% of the sale.

Thanks lyndo, I appreciate the confirmation.

For what it’s worth, I was relying on the referral feature to route automatic donations and discounts, in some cases. (I know not everyone reads everything, but I shared this with a few on the team.) I’ve just removed the messaging/logic from my site. Thanks again.

This is great for us to know typo, thanks for the heads up. How exactly were you re-using our referral system to do donations and discounts? Sounds like a use-case we weren’t aware of, would love to know more.

Here’s a ~12 second screen recording demoing the core functionality. (Watch for the referrer URL changes in the status bar in the bottom left.)

I mapped X handles (used in a URL query), to readable names and ethereum addresses, allowing for:

  • Personalised name on page
  • Default “Donate” referrer URL set to charity
  • Personalised “Discount” referrer URL set to corresponding address

I DM’d you, Lyndon & Mel on X a while ago. (No hard feelings. The feature was fun while it lasted, and I’ll continue to make the charitable donations manually.)
