I've created a new contract for Open Editions but items aren't showing as expected

Hey everyone,

I’ve created a new contract for my Open Edition artworks. The first art that I wanted people to be able to claim was a pre-reveal image I used for my bigger collection.

Ideally I wanted the collection page to show up on OpenSea similar to this:
https://opensea.io/collection/notablepepes

Meaning that if 2000 people claim a token the art is shown once, but it shows that 2000 have been claimed within the item.

I thought created an Open Edition would do this. but for me the items are showing up individually within the main collection / contract meaning that if I mint multiple artworks on that contract they will get scrambled.

What did I do wrong?

I’d love it it to simply show:

ARTWORK A x1000
ARTWORK B x500
ARTWORK C x250

If that makes sense. Similar to how its done in Notable Pepes.

I actually think I found the answer to my own question… I selected the wrong contract type, right?

Yes exactly - This is one of the main differences when choosing between an ERC721 and an ERC1155. This video might help explain things better.

Is there a way to burn the failed contract?

I set it up correctly now and got it to work. However I have royalties set on manifold yet on opensea it is showing 0%. How is this possible?
