Listing a Fixed Price Start Trigger

I have a quick question on Manifold. When listing a piece I do not understand the difference between “Finite” and “Duration” Listings on a fixed price listing.

I listed as a FIxed price “Finite” for the time being but am not sure what dates to place on the listing.

Thank you,

Joe

gm! Basically the listing start trigger indicates when an auction should Start/Stop.

Duration - An auction will start after the first bid is made and run for the duration you indicate. When the auction begins is determined by the first bidder.
Finite - An auction start and end date is determined and set by you.

Let me know if this helps clarify things!

Thank you so much for the reply.

I appreciate the explanation regarding auctions. However I am trying to do a fixed price listing not an auction. The system is requiring my to identify a trigger for the fixed price item as well. What or which one do I use for that situation?

Thank you,

Joe

I just want the buyer to be able to buy the piece without having to wait for an auction time frame, hence the fixed price.

Thanks again,

Joe

still hoping for an answer to this one. Anyone?

thanks I feel it could be clearer on the site too!
