a few questions related to metadata
1: can i add the same categories to all my nfts and then individually add the different values? or do i have to add metadata to each nft idvidually ?
2: how am i able to update the images of my nfts after i mint.
3: if i add all the metadata while i am doing testing will this all carry over when i launch on mainett or will i have to do all the data again ?
Hey! How are you minting these tokens, is it directly via Studio or via a Claim Page?
Assuming it’s for a single token or Series mint, then:
- You need to add metadata individually for each token at the moment
- You can just replace the existing asset or properties on a given token, but you need to click the Update button for it to be replaced on-chain
- It will all get “promoted” to mainnet when you update or mint, you won’t need to do it all over again on Mainnet.
i will do directly to my wallet then i want to run a series of auctions to sell them, which there is not much documentation on how the auctions work either, for my auction i would like to only allow people to bid that hold a different nft collection, is this possible?
also i cant find an explanation on how to update the images of the nfts after minting either ie dynamic
All of the docs related to our auction/listing products is here: Create an Auction Page - Manifold Docs
You can’t currently limit bidders based on holders of another collection via Manifold Studio, though this is possible with a custom extension contract.
We also have docs here on how to update your metadata after minting: Dynamic NFTs - Manifold Docs

could you go further into this?
in your guy’s videos it says if i have minted any test tokens i have to delete them before launching on mainett, wouldnt this mean it is a waste of time to do metadata for goerli or am i misunderstanding.
No - If you look at the comments under the video you’ll see a note there about that section of the video.
This refers to if you are looking to edit details of the contract before going to mainnet. Otherwise you don’t need to delete test tokens
ahh yes i see the disclaimer thank you very much.

am i able to do whitelist only auctions and add a list of wallets from a snap shot ?
