My newly minted token says created by me but owned by manifold also says not for sale on rareable although I set a price and set it for sale

After I had minted /created my token which it said was successful, I noticed in rareable and opensea it says manifold is the owner ? and that it wasn’t for sale although It is ??

Hi - Are you referring to this listing? John Laoi Studio - protoone - JOHN LAOI | Manifold

If you have created a listing and the token is currently held by Manifold Gallery - it’s because it was listed for sale in our Gallery Marketplace—whether as a fixed-price listing, auction, or private sale.

Gallery is a custodial marketplace: we temporarily hold the token, handle the transaction between the creator and the collector, and distribute the funds or tokens to both parties.

If you’d like the token returned to your wallet, you can cancel the listing (if no bids have been placed)

Hi and thanks for the reply, yes that listing and thanks for clearing that up, can you tell me though why it’s marked as not for sale in rareable and open sea although I have fox a price and put it up for sale ?

Typically when a token is for sale on one platform, it won’t be indicated on other platforms that it’s listed for sale.

Oh Ok, I thought manifold minted the token and then it could be listed as for sale on other platforms like opensea and rareable and principally on manifold ? If potential buyers see not for sale they’ll just ignore the token after that

Yup that is totally the case - But what happened is that you minted the token and then listed it for sale on manifold afterwards. If you wanted to sell on a different platform, you would mint a token and then list it for sale wherever you’re thinking.

You can cancel a listing if you’re looking to list it for sale elsewhere.

Ah I see, I’m a newcomer to all this so I’m learning as I go, thank you very much for your help on this, I saw the manifold.marketplace section is currently saying ‘coming soon’ if there is no market place as such how do potential buyers find items/ images ?
