Inability to relist token - unkown error

I have a contract where I minted 5 ERC721 tokens. 4 were listed as fixed price, and one as an auction. I wanted to change prices so i changed prices on other tokens that were fixed and canceled the auction.

The token page says “Congratulations, your listing is finalized”. When I try to relist is for auction or fixed price I always get unknown error at the last step where I need to sign transaction in the wallet. I tried using metamask, rainbow wallet, but same thing happens. I’m using ledger wallet to mint my work.

Even though the token is in my wallet I can’t send it or do anything with it even through opensea, it just seems like it’s stuck somehow.

Here is the token:

The wallet I minted it from is:
0x10c872453aBD2f49F46Da316AD09aE86F97512f4

I’m minting from Brave browser.

Here’s screenshot from the console:

Got it - Is this happening for all of the tokens or this specific one?

This is the only token. Everything goes smoothly until the part where I have to sign transaction to list it again. I even managed to change the files since I updated the GLBs with higher textures on all tokens on that contract. Changed the fixed price on all of them, but this one just won’t budge for some reason.

Hi, is there any update on this?

Thank you

Hi!

Sorry for the issue you are having.
I just checked and you do own the token, and the wallet that owns it is 0x10c872453aBD2f49F46Da316AD09aE86F97512f4

Could you make sure you are connecting to that wallet when using Manifold Studio please? Please try again and if you could send me more logs in the console so I can investigate this further.

Thank you!

Hi!

I tried doing it again, same thing. I’ve recorded the video of me listing the piece with console enabled in the end so you can check. My ledger firmware is updated, my wallets are updated, blind singing is on. It works on every other mint/list on manifold no issues, used this wallet for everything there.

This is the only piece that’s doing this for some reason.

Here’s the video:

Hmm the issue seems to be with the ledger wallet cause I can simulate the transaction on my end so no error there with the transaction itself.

In your video, anyway you can expand on the error where it says “Metamask - RPC error” please? You should be able to click on it to expand the message.

Can you try a few of these things please?

  • Update both the ledger firmware using the Ledger app, and ledger hardware on your ledger device
  • Try using latest version of Chome browser instead of brave

I’ve just checked and everything is up to date on my ledger.

I just used it on a new fresh chrome browser. I managed to change prices on 4 of my pieces from same contract without issues. I also minted a new 1 of 1 into my older contract and it all went just fine.

But I still can’t do anything with this token for some reason.

Here’s the screenshot of expanded error from console

Hello just some things for my debugging:

  • What is the contract address and token id of the token?
  • Is the token in your wallet?
  • Is that wallet the one connected? Double check in MM It has the green dot.
  • Are you actually on the right network? Your wallet might be acting funky.
  • Did you finalize your last listing of the token to get the token back from our custodial listing contract?

It does seem to be some sort of MetaMask specific error but that’s usually a red herring in my experience. The tx itself did not show any issues in the metamask prompt in your video, and it did not say the simulation would revert, so that is odd.

Here’s the asked info:

Contract address: 0x906fe8969db748e46fee6f616e053cec36981487
Token id: #2
Token is in my wallet
Yes it’s the correct wallet on correct network that I only use for minting my work and nothing else. As I mentioned in the last post I was connected and changed prices on 4 artworks as well as minted a new 1/1 piece on one of my contracts and everything went fine.
I also tried other RPCs just to see if that’s the issue and it’s still the same.

I did not finalize anything because there was never an option. The piece was listed for auction and all I did was cancel the auction and that put the piece back in my wallet, and when I go to the listing it says that it was finalized

I also tried with Rainbow wallet just in case it was something with MetaMask and same thing happened. I tried brave browser, chrome, beta chrome, everything, always the same.

I even can’t move the token on opensea for instance, I can see the token in wallet, select to send it and the transaction can’t go through, never get the prompt on my ledger.

Really at a loss here on what to do, in the worst case I could mint a new token but I’d rather not do that if this can be fixed.
Really need this token to promote this collection.

Thank you all for the help, hopefully we get to the bottom of this thing

Gotcha, on it! Thank you so much for all of the information, makes my life much easier. Will get back to you ASAP though it might not be til tomorrow morning. <3

Can confirm all you said looks right so this has to be a front end issue on our end I’m guessing.

Token is owned by 0x10c872453aBD2f49F46Da316AD09aE86F97512f4 which is the wallet you’ve given to me. And I can see the instances you’re drafting up. Will report back soon.

I even can’t move the token on opensea for instance, I can see the token in wallet, select to send it and the transaction can’t go through, never get the prompt on my ledger.

That’s very very very weird. When you try to send it to another person on OpenSea the simulation fails, correct? If so something with the permissions must be very off… I will find out what.

Presuming you were doing that from here: https://opensea.io/item/ethereum/0x906fe8969db748e46fee6f616e053cec36981487/2

Thank you for all the help!
No problem, I’ll provide whatever you ask.

Yeah it fails in opensea as you said, sending from that token page. I wanted to try to send it to one of my other wallets, then send it back to see if that “resets” the token but yeah, can’t even send it through there, super odd. I’ve minted 100+ tokens on manifold and literally never had this issue.

Howdy! We’ve got another user with this issue. It’s looking like something odd with MetaMask so we’re right now coding up a fallback to handle this new odd scenario where the wallet refuses to give us your address + add some better error messaging.

Thank you for the patience shonecc, super helpful.

Howdy! So this is indeed a bad update from MM. Simplest solve is outlined here in the other post, check it out!

You basically just need to fully disconnect from our site entirely cleanly, then connect cleanly all over again. Apologies for the inconvenience, but at least this will get you unstuck quickly!

Just tried and it still doesn’t work sadly, didn’t fix it. Fully disconnected, logged off multiple times to check and still the same thing is happening.

Hi, any news regarding this? I recently minted a new token and now can’t send or do anything with it, and I really really need it. I’ve done all the steps here and still same [object, object] error, on both opensea and manifold itself. Tried using Rainbow wallet, metamask, same thing

Can’t edit previous post, so here’s some more info

I even edited metadata on the other first token I presented as an issue but I simply can’t list or transfer it in any way. Same with this new token.

One thing I didn’t mention before is that I have Ledger Nano S if that makes any difference.

Really sorry for the spam but just after I wrote that last post I managed to find a solution

Rabby Wallet is the solution.

MM and Rainbow don’t work, and I just setup my ledger with Rabby wallet and it all worked like a charm.

For anyone struggling, install Rabby wallet and it will all work.
